ROI Calculator overview

The ROI Calculator is the financial engine at the heart of FlareForge. It lets you model any aircraft or engine deal across four scenarios in real time, compare the numbers side-by-side, and produce professional PDF or Excel reports for investors and clients.

How it works

1. Select an asset — Search the FlarePath integration or type an asset manually.
2. Choose a scenario — Lease, Sale, Exchange, or Hold.
3. Enter your inputs — Asset value, lease rate, term, discount rate, and residual assumptions.
4. See results instantly — NPV, IRR, and payback period update live as you type. No submit button.
5. Compare all scenarios — The comparison table shows all four scenarios side-by-side.
6. Run AI Copilot — Claude reads your numbers and writes a plain-English analysis.
7. Export — One-click PDF or Excel export, ready to send.

Asset selector

Search for an aircraft or engine by type or MSN using the asset selector, or type any asset manually. The calculator works with whatever you enter.

If your organisation has FlarePath connected (configured in Settings), the asset selector will pull live asset data automatically when you search by MSN.

Multi-currency

The calculator supports USD, EUR, and GBP. The currency selector appears at the top of the inputs panel. Your org-level currency preference (set in Settings) becomes the default, but you can override it per session.

Live exchange rates are applied automatically. Currency applies to: form inputs, results KPIs, comparison table, AI Copilot output, PDF export, and Excel export.

Draft persistence

Scenario inputs are automatically saved to your account as you type. If you close the browser, navigate away, or switch devices, your inputs will be restored when you return to the same asset and scenario combination.

Drafts are scoped to: user + asset + scenario. Different users on the same org have their own drafts.
