Currency & preferences

The currency preference controls how values are displayed across the app — in the dashboard, pipeline, reports, and exports.

Supported currencies

CurrencySymbolCode
US Dollar$USD
EuroEUR
British Pound£GBP

Additional currencies may be added in future versions.

Setting the org currency

Go to Settings → Organisation and change the Primary currency dropdown. All users in your organisation will see values converted to this currency by default.

This setting affects:

  • Dashboard KPI cards
  • Pipeline values
  • Mandate fee estimates
  • Report summaries
  • PDF and Excel exports

Changing this setting updates all display values across the app immediately — no refresh needed.

Per-session currency override (ROI Calculator)

In the ROI Calculator, you can override the display currency for a specific session using the currency selector at the top of the inputs panel. This is useful when modelling a deal for a counterparty that works in a different currency.

The session override is not saved as a preference — the ROI Calculator always loads with the org default on next open.

Exchange rates

FlareForge uses live exchange rates that update automatically. The rate in effect at the time of export is noted in PDF and Excel outputs so counterparties can verify the figures.

Currency conversion in FlareForge is display-only. All calculations (NPV, IRR, payback) are performed in your base currency. If you are presenting figures to a counterparty in a different currency, make sure they understand the displayed figures reflect the prevailing exchange rate on the day of export.

Timezone

Timezone is set at the org level in Settings → Organisation. It affects:

  • Daily digest email delivery time.
  • Critical date alert email timing.
  • "Today" determination for the follow-up queue.

The timezone setting affects how times are shown across the app and when daily notifications are delivered.
